How To Prevent Clogged Sinks And Drainage Pipes.

Date: 7 Oct 2006 Comments:0

Do you spend money and time using a plumber to clear a clog?
Prevention is better than cure. Using basic housekeeping care, one can keep the
drainage clear.

Old newspapers can be used to wipe off crockery and cooking
utensils free of food and grease before washing them in the sink or dishwasher.
Crush a piece of newspaper and it becomes an absorbent material to soak up the
grime. If you don’t want to make your hands black from printer’s ink, use
toilet roll paper.

Don’t even think of discarding leftover fluids into the
sink. They will cause clogs. Pour them into a plastic bag and throw it out in
the trash or garbage disposal.

After each bath and shower, collect all dropped strands of
hair and dispose in the trash.

Avoid washing very dirty or greasy hands at the sink. If you
own an outdoor water outlet, use that. Try using paper towels to clean off
before splashing the freed baddies down the sink.

Just like people who need regular detoxification and cleansing,
the sink and you will be happy with the specialized cleaning products. These
will remove organic buildup of remnants and dirty scale before they cause you
the greater inconvenience of a choked sink.

When shopping for drainage scourers, read the fine print.
Choose one that states it doesn’t corrode the metal or whatever material
your pipes are made of.

By taking care of your sink, it will remain a faithful to
you and stand up to its expected duties.

Do you keep bleaching agents handy by the sink? Check that
they are suitable for your pipes. A few bucks of pinched savings can chalk up
bigger bucks in penalties.

Green Thumbs Don’t Make Green Bucks.

Date: 6 Oct 2006 Comments:0

If you’re a green newcomer considering a job in sales, my
general advice is to stay away from the big ticket items that are long lasting.
For example, how often do you get repeat customers for staples like a car, household
appliances, and Furnishings?

Selling food and necessities rake up much more in quantities
albeit in smaller profits. The slow but steady trickle accumulates into a pot
of gold at the end of your rainbow of hard work.

Do you prefer the big bucks or the slow but steady stream of
money?

Effective Communication.

When you talk, do people really listen? Do you get the end
results the way you want them?

How well people understand you depend on how well you
communicate your desires to them.

The first step to eloquence is to be aware of yourself.
Carry yourself well when talking. Bring your message across in all the ways
verbal speech can accomplish. Talk as though it were your last chance to
discuss the issue. Rightly, you may never come this way again as time and
opportunity waits for no one.

Be clear in what you want from the other party. Specify your
details and leave nothing to chance. It helps when you provide a clearer
picture of what is to be expected.

Instead of being verbose and bore your listener to death,
ask for him to repeat what he understands is being requested.

How do we get people to listen and give us what we want? We
can inspire, motivate or fire up the engines when we can connect to people. Get
their empathy and with that as the driving force, one can get the best mileage
out of them. People should work with you, and not against you.

With effective communication skills, you might never need to
chase another person for some task undone satisfactorily. In converse, if you
are the assigned task doer, you might never get chased for a missing piece of
work because of your communication breakdown.

Do you talk the effective talk way?

A Mentor.

From Mother to Teacher to Mentor…

As life progresses, we journey through the stages of being
reliant on a mother, teachers and then finally mentors.

The mother and teachers are assigned to us but we can choose
our mentors in the later stages of life.

How do we pick a suitable role model for a mentor?

Certainly,it needs to be someone positive with all the right
attributes like a good communicator, successful career or vocation
practitioner.

In return, a good mentor should be a responsible and
committed person. He should advise in the best interests of his / her charge.

Where do you look for mentors? Some companies provide
employee support and appoint buddies / mentors to advice and nurture new
talents, It is within the best interests of the company to polish their light
bulbs to give the brightest glow.

If you’re very lucky, a mentor happens along your way
without you actively seeking them out. The mentor can be a boss, colleague,
good friend, relative or a professional from an external mentoring company.

A mentor is supposed to help you soar. Have you got one?
